1/8/2025 Blaby to Everards Meadows

Well the weather forecast said more than likely to rain.

Looks like some serious discussions.

Off we go sixteen walkers at the last count.  Bumping into
 friends along the way.

The controversial building site looks like nearing completion.

Somebody dropped something - no it's a tiny frog.

The rain arrives so we all gear up for it.

The weather man got it right. Time to shelter.

On our way and over the bridge from the central railway.

The plan was to go to Jennos for coffee but it was full of people taking refuge from the rain.  Plan B was to go to Everards Beer Hall just across the way.  Turned out just right.

That was a good hours natter, better start getting ready to go back.

All aboard (give us a shove)

Cycling club have arrived.

Back in Blaby.

Getting supplies in for the great day - two of our walkers are doing a Sky dive for charity in a couple of weeks time - wow!.

25/7/2025 walking from Leisure Centre to the Duck House Cafe Enderby

Beautiful blue skies, not a drop of rain in sight as we set of on our walk.

Having crossed the golf course at Enderby we made our way over to Desford Road and walked in a straight path to Whistle Way keeping to the shaded side wherever possible.

At Whistle Way we stopped for everybody to catch up, some were  admiring the blackberries ripening up on the bushes.

Off we go on our way to Seine Lane to the Duck House at the garden centre for a cooling drink.

Seine Lane and a short walk past Strawberry Gardens to the Duck House cafe at Hawgrips Garden Centre.

Reflections.

It's a lovely day to have a birthday.

Happy Birthday to you - lots of cakes from our birthday girl, thank you very much.
