28-10-2022 Walking from Peatling Parva and lunch at Peatling Magna

One of our walkers who had moved out of the area was visiting so we decided to celebrate and catch up over lunch. We met outside the Shires in Peatling Parva before our walk to preorder so that later we could all be served at the same time.

No rain which is forecast, so this was a bonus.

After ordering, we drove ten minutes up the road to Peatling Magna parking outside the Cock Inn (with permission from the landlady).

In their car park we all had fun under a witches hat tree.

Then we spotted the witches and decided it was time to go before a nasty spell was concocted. Oohh!

Some photos taken of the stunning scenery, enhanced by the recent rain.

Not much traffic to bother us on this remote lane.

Cracking views.

Good natured banter and discussions continuously kept everybody busy. After the walk we drove back to the Shires where we were made most welcome. The meal did not disappoint, photos below tell of happy bunch of walkers more than satisfied with the service and quality of the food. I have no doubt we will be back.

From the specials board - mixed meat platter. WOW!!

Thumbs up great meal.

Lots of smiling faces.

Seriously good!

Lovely to see our friend again - come back soon. 😊
