We met at 10.30 am at the Winchester Road Industrial Estate in Blaby.
Heading down the Great Central Railway Path, the edges indicating the amount of rain we have been experiencing just lately.
Puzzled about the pole.
The sun came out, but the wind kept it on the cool side.
Approaching Fosse Park and a cuppa.
Working walkers met for coffee too.
Those who been feeling under the weather came out for the chat and the fresh air.
Smiles all round
The bird man appeared and photographs were taken of the owl.
Also a wagtail came for cake !!
Then it was off back to where we had come from.
A reminder that it is the Soar Valley and prone to flooding.
The sun was still holding up.
Happy chappie.
A group photo of the walkers (apart from the photographer).
The photographer catching up.
Rising levels of the river.
The canal very quiet, no barges.
Not far now, same path and still very damp.
See you all next week, hopefully a bit drier and field friendly.
