Walk cancelled due to the extreme heat.

However, we've all been invited to enjoy celebrating a special big birthday.

Lots of wonderful cake heroically baked in this heat wave.

3/07/2026. Willoughby Waterleys To the Shires.

 
Lovely sunny day and not razzling hot  today.

Parked at Willoughby and set off across country for the Shires

Which way - no sign post.

No sign post here either but we know the path goes behind the shed.

Over to the Church

Into the Shires for a cuppa.

On our way back. 

Through a wild flower field, well round it.

That shed again.

Another cross roads.

Friendly chappy.

And more cake, another birthday.

Lovely walk and not too hot.

26/06/2026 Walk Cancelled. Met at Everards

 No walk today as it was unbelievably hot so we all went to Everards near Fosse Park for tea coffee and cake.  Sorry no pictures.

19/06/2026 Gumley via canal, Foxton Locks and Gumley app 5 miles.

Walking from Gumley Cricket Club in a circular walk via 

Foxton Locks.

Time out after a hill in very warm weather.

Debdale Mill on the lock side we will turn here along to Foxton locks.

Always great views along the canal.

Time for a cuppa at Foxton.
