19/01/2024 Lay by on the B4116 to Broughton Astley.

 Bright cold day

Smiles all round

An interesting side track.

Birthday girl - happy birthday!

There were lots of home made cakes

And they've nearly all gone.

A great time was had by all but it was time to go.

A massive big thank you to our stand in leaders for the past few weeks.

See you next week.

12/1/24. Walk to Tesco from Blaby.

 Sorry no photos.

But as usual, everybody had a good time - and the coffee was excellent at Tesco.

5/1/24 Walk for the New Year Bradgate Park.

After a lot of rain it was decided to walk in Bradgate Park away from the floods and very unsafe field conditions.

Enjoy the photos, the rain is never far away at the moment.

A passer by took the photo above and got all the walkers who joined for the walk.

Kids out doing what's best, playing and having fun.

Coffee time.

Wild life below, gulls above.

The first walk of the year - always good to get out in the fresh air with friends.

Friday 29th December 2023 Dunton Bassett to Ashby Parva

There has been a lot of rain lately so we've been looking for walks avoiding the fields and pathways which are awash and not particularly safe for walking.
This route is usually a good bet, so we tried and tested it, no floods here today.

Making our way out of Dunton Bassett on a very cool morning.

Out into the countryside and not a car in sight. Nobody at work, they are all still on holiday after Christmas.

Two of our younger visiting walkers from down south out for a walk with grandad.

Enjoying the peace and quiet of the Leicestershire countryside.

A pause as some of our walkers catch up with the front runners.

Letting our four legged friends pass by.

More horses, getting quite busy along this lane (but in a nice way).

The Holly Bush at Ashby Parva and a cuppa and a chat.

On our way back.

Back to the cars, a very pleasant walk, not too far and most important we beat the rain.

See you all next week.
