There has been a lot of rain lately so we've been looking for walks avoiding the fields and pathways which are awash and not particularly safe for walking.
This route is usually a good bet, so we tried and tested it, no floods here today.
Making our way out of Dunton Bassett on a very cool morning.
Out into the countryside and not a car in sight. Nobody at work, they are all still on holiday after Christmas.
Two of our younger visiting walkers from down south out for a walk with grandad.
Enjoying the peace and quiet of the Leicestershire countryside.
A pause as some of our walkers catch up with the front runners.
Letting our four legged friends pass by.
More horses, getting quite busy along this lane (but in a nice way).
The Holly Bush at Ashby Parva and a cuppa and a chat.
On our way back.
Back to the cars, a very pleasant walk, not too far and most important we beat the rain.
See you all next week.
