Thursday, a day for checking out the cow situation. Cows none, oil seed rape yes !!!
Beautiful views yes. But oil seed rape lurking, not good for those with allergies.
Friday morning 11/4/25. We all met at Cosby village hall car park.
Quite a discussion going on to start with.
Walking through the village on our way to Shuttleworth Lane.
Up the lane and past Cosby Golf Course.
Into the fields on our way to Cottage Lane.
A little pause as some of the group catch up.
Off we go again.
The tunnel under the old bridge for the railway that was axed as part of the Beeching plan.
Looking very spooky in the tunnel.
Really is a nice part of the world to walk on a sunny day.
Out into open fields before we get to Cottage Lane .
On to Cottage Lane leading to Broughton Astley
Cottage Lane, very quiet for a change.
An old Farm Yard full of interesting stuff.
At the end of Cottage Lane we turned left for Station Road then turned right down to the White Horse.
Arriving at the White Horse we found a lot of outside seating - just the ticket in this lovely weather.
Sitting back with a cuppa and enjoying the chat.
And a pint goes down well too. Cheers!!

Some of the non walkers of day arrived for a chat.
Off we set to make our way back to Cosby.
This friendly pony decided to trot along with us for a short way.
