7/12/2018 Walking from Peatling Magna to Foston and return app 4.5 mls.

Weather forecast for the day was not very good. Fortunately for us the time of 10.00am to 14.00pm was to be dry with sunny spells then it would change to rain and more rain.

We picked a walk that was fairly local to us, Peatling Magna to Foston. We had heard from one of our walkers that at Foston Church, our destination, they were setting up the Christmas tree festival that day.

The local book store.

Lots of bright spells but that wind was a bit chilly.

Great views over the Leicestershire countryside.

A gated road usually means less traffic - good for walking.

Trying to get the best pictures.

Arriving at the church the ladies there were only too pleased to let us in and have a peek around before the festival started tomorrow.

 Lots of hard work.

Cracking displays.

A really beautiful church.

Really enjoyed the tour, thank you, now for the walk back.

Nice and bright but very chilly in the open areas.

Not too far now to the garden centre for a cuppa.

Don't forget, it's the Christmas munch next week at Thurlaston.
