Another great day for a walk in the Leicestershire countryside.
All just about ready .
Lets go. Walking away from Wistow Park in the direction of Fleckney.
Single file up this part of the track before we turn left and head for Kilby.
This is the track towards Fleckney.
And this is the way to Kilby.
Over our first stile of the day.
Sheep too busy to notice us .
A bit of a challenge - head height maize.
Are we all ok?
It's a yes!
No problem, all through - couldn't get lost in there!
The farm in the background has seen better days.
Through Kilby and on our way to Newton Harcourt.
Useful little bridge.
Not all our paths are easy going, this one is definitely over grown.
Brambles galore.
Used to be a stable.
Just waiting to get together before going up on to the canal.
Hanging on to the fence - very tricky path.
A bit of maintenance for this canalside cottage.
Just about to turn right over the canal and then back down to Wistow.
We were too busy chatting to take photos at the cafe which itself was really busy probably due to the maize being open over the road.
A lengthy and sometimes challenging walk but great fun on a lovely day.
