What a cracking day for a walk and just the place to choose to walk from, Gumley cricket club on a circular walk via Foxton Locks.
Just waiting for everyone to arrive.
Off we go heading for Debdale Wharf.
Catching up before we head on down to the canal path.
Big renovations going on here - what a place to have your workshop!
Surprise, surprise up ahead on the towpath - we came across a heron waiting for lunch to swim by.
We were very close - what an amazing sight.
Caught in motion.
After all the excitement, a coffee was what was needed.
Foxton locks is always a good place to sit and watch the world go by.
A perfect day, we could just about hear a jazz band playing in the background.
Time to go, we had a group photo taken on the way.
Another type of bridge to cross.
Over the bridge and into the fields.
Leicestershire at its best.
Into Gumley, the main road.
Apples galore on the side of the road.
Gumley church.
A treat for those who would like a few home grown apples.
A birthday treat for the birthday boy.
Happy birthday to you .
Blowing the candle out (only one to save the blushes!).
Lovely walk on a lovely day with lovely people - see you all next week.
Yuk a step too far. A very smelly shoe.
Please pick up where ever you are with your dog.
