9th August 2024 King's Lock Walk from Blaby.

Sun is out and we're all ready to go.

Crossing the canal on our way to the Great Central Railway path.

Boats approaching

Entering the lock.

Watching all the action.

The other just about boat squeezed in.

Looks like the excitement is over.

Some crack on up the first hill.

Others are waiting until the boats have gone through the bridges.

We all get back together

Then the blackberries take over - not quite enough for a pie!

Off the pathway, over the canal and King's Lock cafe where we're always assured of a welcome with a smile.

View from the cafe.

The all important cup of tea.

Drinks and cake for the kids.

Is that a bacon buttie?

The canal path on our way back.

Under the Soar Valley Way by-pass.

Lovely reflections.

Looking a little autumnal?

Another boat passing through.

Up on to the path back into Blaby and the cars.

Another great walk and smashing weather. See you all next week.
