It was a nice bright morning. After meeting at Cosby Park it was decided to walk into Leicester from Blaby using the Great Central Railway Walkway which has been created for walkers and cyclists. From the industrial estate at Blaby where we had parked our cars we headed towards Glen Parva crossing over the Grand Union Canal bridge then up a slight incline into Glen Parva. We followed the footpath through the housing estate and joined the footpath to Leicester. It is a straight walk from that point.

Getting closer to Leicester we came across some modern artwork by local artists.
We all bunched up again on the approach to Leicester.
Approaching town along the canal towpath towards Castle gardens we walked through the gardens, out up to the High Street and into Weatherspoons where we enjoyed our coffee break.
After refreshments we headed for the bus back home. Most of us that is - some went shopping !!!!!
