15th April 2022 Walking from Oakfield Car Park. via Crow Mills Car Park back to Blaby approx 4.5 mls.

Lovely sunny morning, daffodils nearly finished now but some left for us to enjoy.

Stopped at Crow Mills car park for 5 minutes then set off back to Blaby via the canal.

Very unusual gardens along the canal side.

Plenty of bridges mirrored in the canal.

Locks as well.

Somebody left a lock gate open?

Flag upside down, very naughty.

Turned off the canal heading down to the ford at Glen Parva.

Through the old gardens before the ford, over the river Sence and  back up to Blaby through the jitty.

After coffee and cake at the Turntable café we set off back to the car park.

Through Bouskell Park then Hall Farm Woods.

Back to Oakfield Car Park.

Smashing walk, looking forward to the next one.

8th April 2022 Dunton Bassett to Ashby Parva and return.

Hello kxx and Cxxx
Just an update about today.    11 of us went walking, lovely walk, in the sunshine!   All returned safe and sound and the Mountain Rescue Mxxx assured was was being told to stand down.

We were sorry about the Holly Bush refreshments, we had booked in advance yesterday lunchtime,  only tea or plain coffee all served luke warm, teas got 1/2 a cup.   All £2 per cup.

But we all enjoyed ourselves, had a good chat and a laugh. Pleased to see Gxxxxx looking so well.  We had a discussion about dress code for Thursday, do you know anything?

Hoping you are both feeling a little better.   Vxx has covid.
My phone is not working at the moment, just ordered a new battery, so we can be contacted by land line or email.

Sxx and Rxxxxxx

Photos of the walk.
Leicestershire countryside wonderful.

Welcome stop for refreshments

On the way back to the cars.

A big thank you to the stand-in leaders and brilliant photographer.

1/4/2022 Walking around Cosby for a special birthday.

Well, the dreaded Covid had struck restricting our numbers  but the day was saved at the last minute by our very able stand in leaders.

Great walk and at the end, home made cakes for everybody at the birthday boy's home.

All very enjoyable, thanks everyone.

No photographs, sorry folks.

Just a map of Cosby where we walked all the nooks and crannies. 4.5 miles in all.

Thankyou to the amazing stand in leaders.
