4/10/2024 Walk around Thornton Water.

Sunny autumnal morning, just right for a brisk walk.

I'm not sure whether this lot intend coming with us.

All ready to go.

Good views of the reservoir.

Pretty looking ponies. Definitely well fed.

Got my favourite wellies on.

Many forms of wellies this morning.

Sun is out and about this morning.

Plenty of muddy patches left after the rain to dodge.

Keep to the left.

No problem with the correct footwear.

   Those geese have caught up with us.

27.09.24 Macmillan's Day Plan A then Plan B.

It was Macmillan Day, we all look forward to Macmillan Day.

But we did experience some awful rain, so true to Friday Walker's flexibility we implemented Plan B i.e. abandon the walk and meet later. 

So here we are, a quick move of venue,  Cosby Village Hall - someone's really good idea.

What an amazing show of yummy cakes.

Everybody enjoying tucking in.

More tea  or coffee?

Even home made jam for the scones.

We all know our place when clearing up.

Still busy.

A great morning and a fantastic turn out in support of Macmillan Day.  The grand total raised will be revealed by our wonderful organiser when all the money is collected.
