19/10/2018 Walking to Kings Lock Cafe on the canal from Blaby through Aylestone Pastures Reserve. approx 4.4 mls.

Nice day, so why not go for a walk along the old Great Central railway and the canal, a walk which is only about 3 miles from Cosby.

On we go, back towards Blaby via the canal path, very pleasant.

12/10/2018 Burbage Woods

The walk was at Burbage Woods. It was a very wet day so everybody got out the waterproofs.

The shades of Autumn, multicoloured leaves everywhere.

Plenty of good walking paths in the woods and on the common.

A steady pouring of the wet stuff made our stop at Acorns a nice place to anticipate.

Giant mole hills?

Maybe not, but nobody knew exactly what they were.

The ponies don't seem to mind the rain.
