14/8/206 No Walk temperatures over 30 degrees.

 We went to the OKAPI Kitchen next to Blaby golf course.

Plenty of car spaces, plenty of shelter from the sun. 

Good coffee, tea and soft drinks

7/8/2026 Walk around Fosse Meadows via Frolesworth and the Pig in Muck.

We set off from the car park and the first field was a field of Maize.

Just checking that it is maize and not sweet corn.

UM shouldn't have stopped can not see anybody.

Ah ah I can see a little more now.

This is the way.
                                                    

Well that was a large field. In more ways than one.

Just on the field of weeds to the top.

Nearly there all weeds they are growing very well.

That's a better photo but the plants look a bit weedy what ever they are.

One of those gates that are not used a lot.

Wonder if the moon looks like this.

The Boot room at the Mucky pig very handy when it is to warm and to wet.

31.7.2026. Walk around Cosby fields then off to celebrate a birthday and cake.

 

Weather is still rather hot. Up to and over 30 degrees. Taking all precautions and not walking in anything like 23 degrees or more.

This weeks walk around the fields of Cosby fitted the bill just right for the day.

After the walk we were invited to celebrate her birthday with home made cakes tea and coffee.

We set off crossing one or two fields. Very dry and not very productive.

A blast from the past. Still goes and is on show when ever needed.

At the top of the fields a small accident.

Soon sorted with plasters from the walkers emergency packs.
