We set off from Cosby Village Hall car park leaving the village through the allotments.
Flying low - one of ours.
Casualty of the latest high winds.
Leaving Cosby behind us and the sun was out although it was still a little chilly.
Enjoying the walk.
The oil seed rape was out in full golden splendour, though not so good for hay fever sufferers.
In the distance we can see the outskirts of Narborough.
Oil seed rape features quite a lot on this walk - it's that time of year.
The skill in making new hedge rows.
The duck house doesn't seem to have moved much since we were here last.
At the duck pond you have to remember to turn left otherwise you will get lost. We know only too well don't we?
A great country walk - how lucky we are to live in such a lovely area.
Plenty of time to chat, no rush.
Now we hadn't planned for the farmer to manure the field just before we arrived.
It was a bit smelly but we just plodded on through the second field.
Out of the fields and into the playing area and then on to the Heathcote Arms for our usual break.
Nice to be able to sit out in the fresh air.
After our break we left the pub heading back to Cosby the way we came
Across the playing fields.
Past the brook (no kingfishers to be seen).
Over the smelly fields.
Across the busy main road.
Now we didn't see this on our way here. We think that more of these small signs might help farmers protect their crops and stock from damage by dogs.

Ideas for lace curtain patterns?
The duck pond from a different angle.
Looking for that brilliant shot.
Whoops!
Still looking
Certainly worth the wait. Great photo.
Another great walk - see you all next week.
