Bradgate Park 27/10/2023 tarmac walk due to heavy rainfall.

After all the rain a tarmac walk was chosen, Bradgate Park, one of the groups favourites.

The deer roam freely well protected by the wardens and the public on the whole, well aware that dogs have to be on leads.

Amazing sights irrespective of all the public passing by.

About the halfway point we are joined by some walkers who couldn't make the starting time.

Fungi are abundant at this time of the year with perfect weather conditions.

Now to get the best shots you certainly need to get down to their level.

Supersize

The locals do find this activity interesting.

Fungi on the march.

The group heads towards Jades tearooms and the now famous cream scones.

Plenty of info for all who wish to know more about deer.

Coat of arms, possibly of the last resident of the big house in ruins.

Guess who?

We aren't hiding, we're just being girls having a bit of fun.

Just in time for tea and coffee.

Secret Santa on the way around.

One of those cream scones, now you see it now you don't. Man and birds celebrate.

Some stolen scone!

No escaping from the camera.

The remains of Lady Jane Grey's old house.

The mist came down to create more views as we made our way back to the cars.

More fungi

Ducks

Deer.

Many thanks to our stand-in leader, a great walk.
