30th December a Stroll around Enderby. approx 3.5 miles.

Thanks to two of our walkers, we are able to secure a half way stop for a walk in this area which we usually prefer.  However  today, for our first post Christmas walk the walk itself was relatively short so we decided to have refreshments when we'd finished.   Enderby Bowls Club was the venue, thank you for all your help with coffee, tea and biscuits.

The path took us through Narborough Park next to the council offices, over the B4144 and up to Forest Road Enderby until we joined Whistle Way.

Coming off Whistle Way on to the B4114 turning left back into Narborough.

Back at the Bowls Club hot drinks were waiting for us together with lots of biscuits making it very cosy in the warmth of the snug.  There was lots of Christmas chatter to catch up with.

Great company as always.

23rd December 2022 Walk around Thornton Reservoir.

A very wet walk, not a lot of photos, plenty of umbrellas.

They don't mind the rain.

We had coffee and drinks at the golf club.

Tempted by a cream scone.

It nearly stopped raining long enough for us to have our Christmas nibbles.  Don't think anyone noticed!

Happy Christmas everybody.

16/12/2022 Circular Walk from Enderby Leisure Center.

Nice clear but very cold morning for a brisk walk around the outskirts of  Enderby.

Out of the Leisure Centre and down the footpath towards Narborough.

High up in the sky a fly past by the Red Arrows.

Over the frosty Leisure Centre Golf Course.

Through the Santander Commercial complex.

Out into Enderby again.

On to Whistle Way then up to Saine Lane.

Christmas tree baubles, not something you'd expect to see on a disused railway track.

Who forgot their boots?

These boots were made for walking but maybe not today.

Spectacular icicles.

On Seine Lane.

Back through Enderby towards the Leisure Centre via local landmarks.

Christmas decorations en route.

Good walk very chilly.
See you all next week.
