29/5/26 Warm walking in Burbage Woods .

 

After a message from a fellow walker to say that the road leading to our usual car park was closed we made a quick change of walk direction and alternative car park.

At this point the weather was pleasantly warm but forecast for very hot so another walk in the woods today seemed a good option.

Heading for the trees.

The dog lovers amongst us were quite taken by this little fellow.

We were very happy to have a younger walker with us today to keep us on our toes.

Over the railway line.

Nearing the Visitor Centre we came across these fabulous buttercup meadows.

Treat time at the Visitor Centre.

Fortunately, the anticipated excessive heat didn't materialise so a lovely day was had by all.
