It's been uncomfortably hot just recently and today it was due to be just the same so walking in the woods again seemed a good idea.
Parking up in the shade of Swithland Woods.
They are quite tall.
Last but not least - a late arrival in style.
All very pleasant and keeping our cool.
We're so lucky to have this historic park so near home for our enjoyment.

Old John in the distance.
We decided to walk alongside Old John rather than up to it, as it was so warm.
Down towards the Visitor Centre and refreshments.
And here we are.
Some lovely artwork reflecting the park.
The homeward trek in full sunshine - phew!

Some late lambs.
A beautiful buttercup meadow - very 'English'.
Lovely walk, very warm - but we know it won't last long!
