First legs of the season.
The weather didn't look that good.
Parking can be a little painful if you don't check the signs.
Dunton Bassett is a quite a pretty village and, at this time of the year, there's the occasional Easter decoration hanging from doors.
Just out of the village we came to the sign for Stemborough Mill.
The mole hills seem to be on the increase in size and quantity.
Down towards our first encounter with mud.
Evasive action had to be taken.
Out on to the fields towards Broughton Astley.
The view down to Broughton Astley.
The blossom in the hedgerows looked absolutely stunning.
We arrived at the White Horse for our break. There was a demonstration on how to peel a banana.
There were plenty of volunteers to clear up.
Wonder what he's spotted?
We set off back to Dunton Bassett up through the walk ways of Broughton Astley.
Then out into the fields.
Headed towards a field of oil seed rape.
More blossom.
Then out into the field of oil seed rape, very pretty, but not good for hay fever sufferers.
Quite a lot of photographic interest in the yellow field.
Out through the last gate.
Back to the cars, another good walk.
Hope to see you next week for our Good Friday walk - as usual Blaby to Kings Lock.
P.S.
Latest from Willie and Sheila in New Zealand:
They say please meet Ngaire, (pronounced 'NIREE' ) she arrived while we were in the hold of the plane.
Here we are looking towards Plimmerton having lunch.
