10.11.2017 Walking from Oakfield Park, Blaby to The Navigation, Kilby Bridge. app 6.5 miles.

Lovely bright morning as we arrived at Oakfield Park, Blaby.

Quite a few pot holes to be avoided when parking.

Crossing Hospital Road to the start of the walk.

An excuse to take your time?

A bit chilly but the sun did its best.

Joining the Grand Union Canal path in Wigston.

Waiting under the bridge for everybody to catch up, it has been known for walkers to to take the wrong turning.

We wondered why there wasn't any traffic on the canal - later we discovered it was closed for lack of water in one of the reservoirs.

Walking alongside the canal away from the hustle bustle of villages and towns has a charm of it's own.

Heading towards the Navigation Inn just around a couple of corners.

A main line train on it's way to London.

The Navigation up ahead.

Oops, looks like somebody's sprung a leak!

At the Navigation for coffee and tea.

On our way back the way we came.

Will get there eventually?

Swans looking for tit bits.

The weather has been very kind so far.

Coming off the canal back towards Blaby.

Great walk just over six miles.
