29/01/2022 Shuttleworth Lane, Cosby closure, great for a walk without cars.

A grey day in Cosby. Meeting at the Village Hall car park we get ready for our walk through the village and then the piece de resistance, a walk up Shuttleworth Lane with no traffic about.

Off we go. having a good old natter catching up on the weeks happenings.

Over the crossing in the centre of the village.

Last but not least.

Up Shuttleworth Lane  - very peaceful, what a treat.

Over the old railway bridge.

Unfortunately used by some as a dumping ground.

At the end of the lane before turning back.

A lovely walk without traffic, just as some of us remembered how it used to be.

At the end of the walk we were all invited to homemade flapjacks made by our hostess and lots of cakes made by our birthday girl.

Below, as our hostess said, a sign of the times (but good to know).

Enjoyed by all, brilliant.  Many thanks to our hostess and happy birthday to our birthday girl.
