It was a bit of a grey day with heavy rain forecast for later.
At 10. 30 am off we went out of the village and into the country side.
Got to get cracking. Coffee, tea and drinks will be waiting and of course we will no doubt be tempted to a fantastic array of home made cakes. All in aid of Macmillian, the charity which does so much to help the NHS in its fight against cancer.
Farmer getting ready to plant his winter seeds.
Lots to chat about..
Good view of the tractor from a different angle.
Maybe a message to say that we be arriving on time?
We had to have a group photo.
Or two.
Down through the fields with a couple of stiles to negotiate enroute.

At Broughton Astley this is the sign we had been looking for.
Come on folks, it's all happening in here.
Wow!
What a marvellous spread - well done to all the cooks.
A big thank you to our hostess and host.
An amazing spread, wonderful company and all for a brilliant cause.
We heard that, on the day, the magnificent sum of £500 was raised for Macmillan - superb!
Thank you everybody.
To avoid being drenched in the storm which we could see was on its way, we opted for a bus back to Cosby.
