What a cracking morning.
Not a drop of Rain. Just sunshine.
All caught up on the latest.
The first obstacle of the day - COWS - lots of them!!
Too many frisky cows for our liking.
Well, it was clearly impossible to get over the quagmire and safely past the cows so we needed a new route.
After a discussion we decided on plan B, untried of course, so fingers crossed.
Into the unknown we went.
Fortunately it was a lovely day.
Having to search for way markers all the time.
I think it's that way - maybe?
Looks like we've found it.
Bit rickety but serves the purpose.
Plenty of horses on the other side. Just a little curious. Some thing just left one.
Leire at last, a bit of a detour but we got there.
We decided to have our half way break in Leire at The Queens Arms and rather than walking on to Broughton Astley as originally intended we'd take the straight route back to Dunton Bassett along the road, not the fields.
They made us feel very welcome at the Queens - thank you.
Countryside was beautiful, but we weren't keen on the shortened route back along the road.
Hope that next week there won't be any detours.
