The walk had to be cancelled because of icy conditions and the unknown. However, birthday cakes and coffee had been organised in the Cosby village hall so everybody arrived, some driving and some walking (weather conditions had improved during the morning).
Getting comfortable, the drinks were served and the cakes were cut.
There was a rousing chorus of happy birthday for the birthday boy.
And he responded with a speech and thank you to all who had attended.
