Homeward bound over one of the very impressive bridges at Everards Meadows leading up to the Great Central Way.

Friday 26/4/2024 Blaby to Leicester via the Great Central Railway path.

Walking from Blaby by-pass to the centre of Leicester City via The Great Central Railway path.

Nearing town and the old railway buildings.

The Cosy Club in Leicester for coffee/tea and a chat.

Top deck of the 84 and homeward bound.

 

19/04/24 Ratby Woods Bluebell Walk.

It must have been a good one!

It was raining, yet again, but fortunately stopped now.  We were hoping the sun comes out to make a perfect backdrop for the bluebells.

Just approaching Burroughs Woods.

Down to the bluebell woods.

Here we are.

A tree framing the trees.

It's been very wet and a lot of the paths are not walkable so a detour from our usual route is needed.

Enjoy the blue.

Most of us couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

Well we took a detour to miss this path.

Off to the Golf Club and a cuppa awaits.

On our way back and the sun makes a welcome appearance.

Very good walk - the bluebells were as fantastic as usual.
