Friday 28th June. Walk Cosby to Narbourgh via Whetstone 5.8 miles.

It was a wet, damp and generally miserable morning and it was not going to get any better according to the experts, which is probably why only five walkers turned up to participate  in a squelchy walk some where. It was unanimously decided to go and walk past the local tip and see what progress the council had made with the redevelopment of the site.Well, it is our money they are using.
The tip
Off we set fully togged up head to toe. First stop was Whetstone village and then round to the tip.
It has stopped raining you know

No we didn't  get on the bus

Well, the tip looked very exciting, gobbling up recycled rubbish and waste to be transported to factories to make paper for bums, cans for drinks and food waste into garden fertilizer.  Clever stuff recycling, so I suppose the new tip will do even more recycling.

We continued on our way and quickened  our pace as somebody had mentioned a cup of coffee and perhaps a slice of cake.

After the coffee we continued via the railway station to Littlethorpe passing a twinning stone.

Usually some ducks but it's too wet today so they have stopped in

It was a good walk considering the conditions - we hope for better weather next week.
