On July 19th we will be starting early.   Postponed

9.00AM from the Village Hall Car Park. Please bring a packed lunch and a drink. One hour 20mins travelling time.

The reason is an away day in the Cotswolds.   A circular walk has been organised  just south of Upton House taking in the villages of Winderton and Upper Tysoe.

The walk has been checked out and is hilly in places. It is beautiful countryside with good views and a hillside view of Compton Verney. The walk measures 7.5 miles, so we will be having two stops on the way round. This time of the year nettles are high in the hedge rows so long walking trousers may be wise.

On leaving Cosby we will go directly to a cafe in Upper Tysoe for a comfort break then on to Winderton where we will start our walk. First stop on the walk will be Upper Tysoe for another comfort break. The second stop will be lunch at a country cross roads, grass armchairs whilst we eat and watch the world go by. Then on to our destination Winderton.

£5.00 to driver please to help with diesel/petrol. Thank you.

If time allows you may want to have a quick look at Upton House Gardens on the way back (National Trust).
Please take your national trust membership card
