Hi all,
Weather doesn't look too bad for tomorrow apart from the small chance of a little rain🌧 then on the bright side we could have some sun 🎆

So we are off to Market Bosworth walking from Market Bosworth Country Park car park.😊 We will head for the battlefield visitor centre and the cafe there for drinks and possibly 🍰The country park entrance and car park can be accessed from the B585 which leads into the market town. (CV13 0LP, SK 411 031))

Twenty five walkers arrived at the country park all well wrapped up ready to go.

We walked through the country park passing the first fish pond then wound our way out of the park into the adjoining country side.

Unfortunately, we came across a group of game shooting enthusiasts in an area called Oak Glass Ring. This didn't go down too well with our walkers as we love our wild life.

Passing Looking Glass pond we approached Woodhouse Farm.

In the hedgerows we spotted snowdrops - our first of the season this year.

We were now walking along part of the Leicestershire Round walk heading towards Sutton Cheney.

Market Bosworth now behind us and we have sight of Sutton Cheney.

A pause to offload some of the mud on our boots. Par for the course at this time of the year.

Walking through the village we passed some fine looking restaurants.

Turning right for the Visitor Centre our coffee/tea break destination.

The ponies were glad to see us though no treats for them unfortunately.

Turning down Ambion Lane heading for the battlefield site.

Again on the Leicestershire Round path - coffee/and tea were only ten minutes away.

After our break we set off on our way back to Market Bosworth along Ambion Lane between the two farms, Field Farm on our right and Lower Abion Farm on our left.

Plenty of small obstacles to negotiate not to mention the ever increasing mud under foot.

Eventually we reached Sutton Lane leading back into Market Bosworth.

Market Bosworth with signature Thatched Cottages. Last time we were here it was work in progress for the thatcher - great to see he made a brilliant job.

Back into the country park, cars just ahead.

After a good walk you need to take your boots off.

Designer plastic bag shoes?  Just the job!

Great day, see you next week.
