Meeting at the industrial estate on Winchester Drive, Blaby.
Well, we only got 20 yards around the corner and we had to turn back and do a detour.
It's a bit wet out in the fields.
Under the railway bridge at Blaby.
Marooned train in need of a bit of TLC.
Back on our original path heading for the Great Central Railway path.
Over the canal.
Up a slight rise (gets the blood flow going).
Through the estate to connect with the nature reserve.
The ring road over the path - we thought we might encounter a flood problem here.
Funny, absolutely bone dry.
Super keen to get a good shot.
The picture above shows the canal. The picture below shows how the river has overflowed into the nature reserve.
This road has a dip in it so it becomes a massive puddle and people driving cars have no idea how deep it is.
Picture below - it was there so a photo was taken.
Just about arriving into Leicester, 4 miles already done.
Down by the canal in the city, a good opportunity for a group photo.
After walking through Castle Gardens we crossed into the square near BBC Radio Leicester.
Down High Cross Street and into the Cosy Club for coffee and tea.
A good venue - plenty of room for us.
See you all next week. Don't forget we're off to Draycote Water, weather permitting, and hopefully Pudsey cakes.
