Having a walk around Burbage common and woods taking in the autumn colours.
Good views over the open countryside.
Even more awkward to get over or through.!!!!
Waiting for everybody to catch up.
Chocolates, just what the doctor ordered. Thank you very much!
We set off again heading towards the visitor centre.
Over the main Birmingham to Leicester line.
Coffee, tea, cake and the remaining chocolates we didn't manage to polish off.
It was a sharing cake we're told.
Gone!
Off we set on the second half of the route back down through the woods.
The autumn colours didn't disappoint.
Nesting boxes are placed all over the woods. We don't get to see much wild life when around twenty people are rustling through the leaves on the ground.
Under the railway line heading towards the second part of the woods.
We say goodbye to some of the walkers here, misunderstanding over car parks. Still it was a good result that we all met up together.
Pumpkins thrown around the woods to feed the wild life - no sign of any wolves or bears fortunately.
Great walk, looking forward to the next one.
