Friday 7th June Dunton Bassett to Ashby Parva Approx 5 miles.

The sun was out and fifteen walkers set out on a walk from Dunton Bassett  and the topic of conversation was mainly holidays.

Entering  Ashby Parva -  poppies and their wonderful colour.
Everybody who had been on holiday had enjoyed their break in various parts of the world but agreed it's always nice to get back home.
The walk to Ashby Parva went by very quickly in very nice weather but disaster struck as we turned into the garden centre drive way .............

Well, they could have told us!
So, what now?
After quick consultation a solution was found. The Holly Bush at the other end of the village was sure to be open??

A sigh of relief  when we got there - it was! We all settled down to a very good cup of coffee/tea and cold drinks.Well, after all that excitement we needed it and not to mention there were a few crossed legs .

Suitably refreshed we all set off on the walk back .

Look out for more from the Cosby Friday Walkers Blog next week.
