It was a very damp morning with the promise of a lot of rain to come. Starting from Foston Church twelve of us set out on a brisk walk to Peatling Magna. It's only a shortish walk along a gated road, a very pleasant stroll to get rid of the cobwebs.

Breezy but warm |
On the way we passed a 'milk bar'.
Some of us made light work of the brisk wind.
At Peatling Magna, we checked if the Cock Inn had started to open on a Friday lunch time - it doesn't so.............
....... we turned around and set off back the way we came.
On reaching the cars we quickly peeled off the boots and waterproofs and just five minutes down the the road we dropped into Glebe Garden Centre for coffee, tea and a great selection of cakes.
Having only done a short walk we had plenty of time for a good old natter.
Before leaving Glebe we couldn't resist checking out their fabulous Christmas displays reminding us that the festive season isn't far away.
