31 -10 -2014 Draycote Water app 5.5 miles.

10 of us turned up at Cosby Village Hall car park on a fine day, very warm for the end of October.  We decided to walk around Draycote Water so made our way to Thurlaston village, near Dunchurch, and parked in the village centre.

Walking to the path around the reservoir we passed a converted windmill.

Plenty of people were out enjoying the late summer sunshine. The trees were turning, however, there were plenty of leaves still on the trees.

Coffee and cake was at the Visitors Centre - excellent cake eaten on the terrace with a fine view over the reservoir.

Here we came across a group of aged Mods on their scooters out for the day.

Well, it stayed nice and fine for us, hope next Friday will be the same.

This photo has nothing to do with the walk, but seeing the oldie rockers brought back a few memories.
