26th January 2018 walking from Market Bosworth to Battlefield Visitor Centre 6.5 miles.

Arriving at the car park in Market Bosworth Country Park it was a  little on the grey side but not raining.

Walking out of the country park down into the village.

Then out into the countryside.

As usual there was a lot of chatter and a lot of smiling faces.

The views were quite amazing.

On our way to the Battlefield Centre.

SHOCK HORROR - CLOSED FOR THE DAY. !!!!! Need a Plan B quick.

That is what the sign said.

There was another sign saying that the Tithe Barn cafe was open.

Rather than treking up the hill to perhaps find the whole site was closed we spent a few minutes hatching up Plan B.  As luck would have it a car came down the hill so we were able to ask the occupant if the cafe was indeed open.  And it was - phew - we were all very happy about that as there wasn't another cafe or facilities around for miles.

At the Tithe Barn with Willie, Sheila and Nairne.

After a pleasant break we gathered outside for the walk back to Market Bosworth.

It always looks different when you walk back.

Just entering the village.

A very pleasant walk for the time of the year - looking forward to next week.

Pictures we've received from Willie, Sheila and Naire in Tokyo on their stop over on the way to New Zealand.

They certainly didn't expect ice and snow.

A bit of fun with an advert for, well we aren't quite sure.

Won't be long before they depart for New Zealand - a homecoming for Naire.

Thanks for the pictures Willie, Sheila and Naire, hopefully, we'll hear from you again soon.
