Friday January 17th 2020 Walking in Bradgate Park (rain stopped walk)

Well, we parked at Hallgates Car Park at the appointed time. Everybody got ready, and we all set off. At this point it was just drizzling a bit.

We had walked no further than about a mile when the heavens opened and had to take refuge in the visitor centre. They, of course were very pleased to see us, it was not good weather for visitors to the park.

We were very happy to sample what they had on offer.

All is well.

It was very cosy in the cafe with the rain lashing down outside.

Eventually the rain stopped so we decided to continue the walk although a shortened version of it. But, soon the heavens opened up again and after a show of hands we abandoned the walk and retreated back to the cars.

Approaching the car park, we could see (and smell) a sewerage tanker at work cleaning the septic tanks. Well, talk about clearing the car park quickly, hey presto................all gone!

See you next week. Phew !!!!!!!!!!!
