Friday 8th October 2021 Walking from Blaby in a circular route including the canal. approx 4 miles.

Twenty seven walkers tuned up dressed for the autumnal weather. It certainly is a lot cooler in the mornings now.

No idea what this is - any ideas?

Waiting to cross Hospital Lane, a very busy road to Wigston and Countesthorpe.

On to the public path which leads to Mill Lane via the cemetery.

Out on to Mill Lane

Passing the turning to the Ford giving it a miss because of heavy rain in the area. We turned down a very narrow path which eventually leads out near to The Manor at Glen Parva avoiding the Ford.

We crossed the B582 and headed up to Knights Bridge on the Grand Union Canal.

Knights Bridge.

We headed off in the direction of Blaby.

Autumn is the time for photographers to capture stunning colours and reflections from the canal banks.

Getting it all into focus.

On the lookout for lunch?

Parked up for the winter.

Cat in chill out mode.

Walking alongside Glen Hills Court retirement housing.

Coming off the canal onto the path which leads to the Great Central Railway.

Time for a group photo.

A canal employee stopped us to ask for a photo for the canal trust magazine. Must send a picture.

Floral art in the hedgerows

Blaby Industrial Estate. A cup of coffee is waiting.

And here we are at the Turntable Cafe, at the Antiques Centre in Blaby enjoying our refreshments.

Giving details of a forthcoming event.

Treasures to be found at the Antique Centre.

My Gran had one of these.

On our way back to the cars at Oakfield Car Park.

Good walk see you all next week.
