We all met in Peatling Parva at the Shires to select our lunch from the menu after which we went for a walk along a track towards Willoughby Waterleys. Today was special, one of our regular walkers who had moved down south, was back to visit and she was joining us for the walk and lunch.
Unfortunately, it was a damp morning with a light drizzle.
This meant the use of waterproofs and brollies.
But it didn't dampen the spirits as we walked along and the sun kept trying to shine.
We spotted some horses in a field.
Slightly damp but dressed to impress.
We turned around after two and half miles and headed back the way we came - lunch was calling.
Back through the horse enclosures.
Over a couple of fields into the church yard for a group photo.
First with the brolly gang.
Then everyone (except the photographer).
Then into the Shires for lunch.
We all enjoyed the meal and the chat. It was lovely to catch up with our friend again and she was happy to be back with old friends for a while. Hope to see you again soon.
