20 June 2014 Walking from Willoughby Waterleys(fishing lakes) to Whetstone Pastures (strawberry fields) about 3.5 miles

Well, it was a lovely day and we had heard the tea rooms were open at the strawberry fields in Whetstone Pastures. So, just in case there were some free samples available to tired walkers, fourteen of us set off to the fishing lakes at Willoughby Waterleys to walk through the farm down to the strawberry fields.

After parking up at the fishery we set off down the road and then walked up the lane to the first farm. We bumped into the farmer and had a good chat. Also one of his tenants, a lady with a horse and trap, stopped for a chat too.

The pony and trap overtook us down the lane on the way to the strawberry fields.

Well there were no free samples so we had a cuppa and cakes instead!

Had a good walk, nice weather a good chat so we are hoping for the same next week.

P.S. Willie and Sheila are in Turkey.
