Walking from Duntton Bassett to Ashby Parva. 27 June 2014 about 4 miles.

This was definitely plan B. The heavens had opened and the rain was coming down in torrents.

Still, six of us went for a walk just to shake off a few cobwebs and get a bit of fresh air.

The camera only came out when there was a lull in the deluge. We were at least able to show that we are prepared for whatever the weather and chose to stick to small back lanes rather than fields.

After the walk we went to a cafe in Broughton Astley for a well earned cuppa.

Maybe the above photo demonstrates a little artistic slant?

Hopefully, the sun will shine next week -  we don't particularly enjoy the wet stuff.

We have been sent some photos of Willie and Sheila on tour in Turkey.

At ancient Troy
At the fairy chimmneys at Kapadokia.

At the calcified waterfalls of  Pamukkale

Apparently they are doing a lot of washing and things like that at the moment so could not make the walk today.
