26 12 2014 Boxing Day Walk just out of Cosby. Approx 4.3 miles

It was Boxing Day, traditionally the day when folks go visiting, or have flown off on holiday. Our group was a little smaller today, only five of us out to chase the cobwebs away.
We met at the car park at the Village Hall as usual then set off out of Cosby up Shuttleworth Lane by the golf course heading towards the A426 Lutterworth Road.

 At the main road we turned right and then right again into Cottage Lane which eventually leads to Broughton Astley .  At the bridle path we turned right back towards Cosby.

On the bridle path the conditions under foot changed to a bit muddy in places but manageable.

 

 






We were soon out of the fields and back into Cosby - only about four and half miles.

Arriving back in Cosby we found the duck race was about to start and decided to stop and watch the proceedings.

Well done to Cosby Football Club for organising the event.  Must put this on the calendar for next year.

What a great way end to our walk. 

Before saying goodbye we called at one of our walker's homes for coffee, biscuits and yet more chat!
