Turning right 3/4 mile up the bridle path
Headed off over the fields to Kilby.
The sheep weren't too bothered by walkers going past.
When we reached the road at Kilby we turned right for Wistow although somebody seemed to think Fleckney was a good idea.
100 yards along the road we turned left into the fields, climbing over a rather high stile, a bit of a challenge for those who didn't have long legs. We crossed the bridge which led us into the next field with cows to face.
Inquisitive, yes, but fortunately the cows were more interested in finishing lunch today so we were all able to proceed with our walk without having to shout beef burgers at them.
Up through the pony enclosure heading for the canal.
What you can't see is the crowd of well wishers just off camera cheering on our gallant volunteer.
As you can see it was a really lovely autumnal day.
Continuing on we eventually crossed back over the canal and headed for Wistow Church.
Turning right out of the church yard we headed up to the craft and garden centre for tea, coffee and scrumptious cakes.
Well, that was great, the walk, the cakes and the company.
Bring on next week and as autumn is blowing in, hopefully, we'll see even more trees with lots of colour to appreciate.
We leave this week with a picture of wild flowers by the side of the road, some of them out of season - clearly Mother Nature (and us) confused by this year's weather pattern.
