A happy and healthy new year to everyone.
Willie and Sheila joined us for our trip to Tesco.
A little damp on the paths but no rain at the moment.
We had chosen Tesco at Wigston for our half way stop because we knew it was open (very important!). It seems that coffee shops and pubs are either closed or extremely busy on New Years Day, so it's always best when there's a group of us to go somewhere large and welcoming such as Tesco.
On the way back we noticed the normally small streams were swollen to high levels because of all the rain that had fallen just recently.
A seasonally well decorated tree on the verge leading to some stables was spotted on the way back.
When waiting for the stragglers to catch up you can stand and appreciate the countryside.
Everyone finished the walk with smiles. Nice to meet up and get out and about again.
