29th March 2019 From Blaby, walking into Leicester 5.2 Miles.

Setting off from Blaby Industrial Estate near the by-pass.

Only one hill on this walk as it follows the old Central Railway for  the rest of the way to town.

Lovely spring morning.

Top coats start to come off.

 Under the ring road bridge.

Distances as the crow flies.

A great asset for the locals.

On our way, just taking in the scenery.

 Watch out for the birdie!

Well, everybody's caught up so we can set off again.

Not so quick, we need to take five too.

Graffiti on a bridge leading into an industrial estate. Sometimes it brightens up the area, but we weren't too keen on this.

Crossing the canal into Castle Gardens in Leicester.

Close to the end heading for a new venue for drinks.

The Cosy Club - a smashing place this - really good coffee and tea.

Loads of space - great for all our walkers.

Milk seems to be going down well (as does the other stuff!).

A good walk and a good chat.  Some of us took the opportunity to do some shopping in town before heading back to Blaby on the bus.
