June 28th 2019 Circular walk from Fleckney via the canal and Wistow.

Weather was very warm and a bit muggy.

We parked outside the allotments at Fleckney then set off through the fields towards the canal.

After all the recent rain, growth in the fields had been phenomenal.

In some cases the paths were overgrown and we had to make small detours.

We were pleased to see these pathways were still clear, much easier on the legs for those of us wearing shorts.

Heading towards the canal.

Time for a rest and a groupie.

Along the canal towards Wistow.

A little cooler along here.

Well, we didn't intend going to Leicester, not today anyway.

Eye eye.

Near the turn off for the path down to Wistow.

Wistow church in the distance.

Walking through the church grounds towards the road and the short walk to the garden centre for tea and coffee break.

Yum!

Some seats were a little on the large side.

Continuing our walk to Fleckney.

Through the fields before Fleckney then shock horror a building site.

We had to make another detour to get to the village of Fleckney.

Just before we got back to our cars we came across a scooter park at the local school.

Great walk, see you all next week.
