Friday Walk 18/06/2021 Dunton Bassett Circular.

The walk started at the church at Dutton Basset. Eight turned up in the pouring rain.  Not many photos were taken due to the heavy rain.

The plan was to head for Leire via Stemborough Mill then pick up the path to Broughton Astley where we'd have coffees etc at the White Horse.

Heading out of Dutton Bassett. Cows sheltering from the rain.

Passing a friend's house in Leire.

Bridge going out of Leire.

Entering Broughton Astley where we spotted a huge fish pond.

The White Horse and respite from the rain.

On the way back to Dunton with one less walker who succumbed to the temptation of a warm and dry home not far away.

Passing the old Railway Cottage with track leading up to the front door.

End of the road and a divi up of strawberries freshly picked the evening before.

Looking very appetizing on someone's breakfast plate.

Hope the weather gets better for next week.
