Friday Walk 25th June 2021Huncote Leisure Centre circular walk via Thurlaston Garden Centre

Message sent out to rally the troops

Friday walk -25th June.

This week we should  meet in Huncote Leisure Centre Car Park at 10.45.

I suggest we walk to Thurlaston Garden Centre for coffee and cake however this time do the walk the other way around. this gives the longer part first thus building up a greater appetite by the time we get to the garden centre.

In the past there have been muddy parts (one in particular) THE DRY WEATHER WILL HOPEFULLY HAVE DRIED EVERYTHING OUT, HOWERVER I AM CHECKING OUT THE WALK TOMORROW AND WILL REPORT IN (as there are no canals near by for washing feet).

Completed the walk today  Picture shows no mud. Cakes at Thurlaston looking good.

Starting the walk first field out of Huncote.

The finish of the poppy fields, heading down to the ford next.

After the ford we then turned up past the fishing site and headed towards Thurlaston.

The sheep and grown up lambs, hard to tell the difference in such a short time.

Into the animals playground and out up to Thurlaston.

The garden centre where coffee and teas were much appreciated.

As were the gigantic pieces of cake.

Getting ready for the walk back to Huncote.

The traditional bridge group view.

On the way back to the cars before the rain arrived.
