Fridays walk 3/7/21 Cosby to Croft and return.

Great to catch up with one our walkers at her new home in beautiful South Devon.

She's settled in well and hoping to join us one Friday as soon as possible.

Leaving Cosby, weather okay heading towards Croft.

A steaming, smelly pile of manure, very nice.

Time to breathe after our smelly encounter.

The maize field will look very different if we walk this way later in the year.

Croft Hill in the distance.

Several stiles to negotiate - some more tricky than others.

A field of barley this time.

Some of the stiles are quite tricky.

Bridges are much easier.

Kingfishers have been seen along this brook but no luck today.

Into Croft now and walking under the very low railway bridge, extremely noisy when there is a train going over.

Our drinks were waiting for us at the Heathcote Arms, very pleasant in their spacious beer garden.

Cheers.

Homeward bound.

Back into Cosby - about 6 miles today but somehow it didn't seem like it.
